Sons of Kingsville

Yes there are many things that you will learn here about the most “southern town of Canada” Any one south of us, in a collective or community is a village. I really like using “the village well” analogy…and you may hear me use the phase “it takes a village to raise a child”…sometimes I feel the small town feel…and village connectiveness are very close in many ways. In small towns everybody knows everybody…when someone passes often the whole town comes out to the funeral. There is often more “group think” apparent…shared values…for Kingsville one other claim to fame is their values…not too far off from their Victorian Heritage.

There is also many families with the lineage of United Empire Loyalists.

The Home of Conservation…a link to migration patterns of birds…in particular, the Canada Goose. You will hear me share analogies associated with the Canada Goose…it’s V-shaped flight pattern…its loyalty to its mate…mates for life…and often will fly down to stay with a wounded mate…even in the face of danger.

Wild Goose Jack- Jack Miners Bird Sanctuary…I grew up on the same road, less than a kilometre. The relationship to the Canada Goose…and to Conservation in general becomes very apparent with my writings and what vacationing I have tended to do.

I need to add…for promotional sake and pride of my “humble beginnings” (can one be proud and humble at the same time…I think so.)

Also for Kingsville is Heritage Village…and close buy a museum dedicated to transportation…primarily vintage cars.

One cannot visit the area without visiting Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens…Greenhouse paradise…a nice retreat for the entire family. Must have their broasted chicken, fresh..on the spot donouts or apple cider, hot or cold…a great outing on a rainy day…or any day.

Kingsville as Hockeyville…will expand on this once the voting is in…another item that is sure to put Kingsville, back on the map.

ONe more plug…for the wine lovers…wine tasting and tour…a great visit into their “cellar” a special ambience treat…Pelee Island Winery.
