In Memory of Lori Dupont

I had been asked by many to “illuminate” and “enlighten” the realities of the Lori Dupont Story.

There are multiple sources of coverage of her tragic death…one that could have been prevented, and such issues are a reflection of some of those things within Health Care culture and Canadian Workplaces in their entirety…that if anything…her death, while most tragic in the face of her desire. plans and intent toward a new life (while a “new life”, her unborn child) all makes this an issue that all nurses should care deeply about, All those that work in Health Care settings…and all women and men everywhere should care about the issue of workplace harassment, exploitation, power imbalances issues of equity and or course any form of emotional and/or physical abuse or violence…inclusive of the horizontal violence and/or bullying that still plagues the workplaces of nurses, and women in general.
