As 2006 comes to a close

It is usually the other way around, the ushering in of the New Year, that is the approach to celebration, but for many it is “good-bye” to 2006. The loss of a respected president (Gerald Ford), and the rhetoric and controversy that clouds the conflicts of the world, the war in Iraq, the nuclearization of Iran and of course, North Korea. The execution (hanging of Saddam Hussein) was one of the biggest ‘press splashes’, front page coverage everywhere you look. Now, slip out of that reflection, to some very big news makers, that will certainly have an impact, in the very near future, as to how we are going to view our world (at least those that are “wired”). The two “biggies” of influence will prove to be, Google’s purchase of you-tube and the introduction of the “pearl” by Blackberry (RIM). What lies just around the corner (getting past PSIII and Wii, by nintendo) we will soon see signs of a new kind of conflict. This will have the greatest potential yet, in terms of impacting the world….it is destined to appear in 2007….ready for this…. the dissemination record numbers of “lived experiences” that will comfort and entertain all of us. It is not such a welcoming attitude that will be held by many academics. I predict a record number of new personal websites to which you can learn anything from anyone else, as a free and sometimes private tutor,…as a means of more people world-wide wanting to be connected, and desiring to “make a difference”. I wish to be your tutor on how you can leave your legacy,…so this will be “the site” to visit for those kinds of ideas, which will start this BIG ball rolling…and roll on it shall….thanks for giving it a little push….
